Millennium Corporation provides unmatched project management and technical support to Distributed Common Ground System – Army (DCSG-A).  One aspect of our mission is to assist the DCSG-A Program Manager (PM) with the total life cycle management of the Army’s Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) joint strategy, standards and architecture.  One of the elements of the company’s contracted mission is to assist in the development of policy, strategy, program management, and systems engineering.  The first milestones was the establishment of the Acquisition Program Baseline (APB) which documented the cost, schedule, and performance objectives for each product beginning at program initiation, as well as exit criteria goals at each acquisition phase of the program.  Millennium has tracked changes in requirements and milestones that are natural conditions of good project management practices, to ensure project scope remains appropriate.

Millennium is also responsible for developing and monitoring the integrated cost and schedule performance data throughout execution of the program and aids in the risk management/mitigation.  They assist the PM in using the internal management control systems to produce data that (a) indicate work progress; (b) properly relate cost, schedule, and technical accomplishment; (c) are valid, timely, and able to be audited; and (d) provide information at a practical level of summarization.  Without this key metric, projects will quickly lose focus, suffer “mission creep” and veer off course.

Another aspect of the mission is to assist with building the foundation in the formulation of the PM budget justification and execution. Millennium has conducted and documented broad base analyses and assessment of DCSG-A acquisition programs used to support organizational planning and development.  Further, Millennium’s knowledge of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) budgetary cycle allows the team to effectively advise leaders of key opportunities available for requesting funding consideration. 

Millennium Corp. has developed and maintained the configuration management plans and processes throughout the DCSG-A product life cycle.  In addition, the company has developed and implemented the Configuration Management (CM) process that facilitates a sound audit trail of decisions and design modifications.  Millennium has also paved the way for DCSG-A to enter into the Program Objective Memorandum process by working diligently with the government to ensure the fullest vetting of functional and resource requirements and limitations at the project’s outset.
